Aries Horoscope for February 2010

As you enter February, you may be just coming off a romantic episode or thinking about a gorgeous social event that you attended, complete with flowers, music, and all sorts of delicious foods. The best part was the conversation and happy people you met - you may want to follow up on new acquaintances you met now in February.

The full moon in Leo, a luxurious one, brightened the last weekend of January 30-31 and will continue to spin a lyrical mood for you in the first three days of February. If you haven't yet seen the tenderness and beauty of this full moon, accept any and all invitations and set up dates with friends. Something divine should come in the first few days of February. Single Aries will have the advantage at this full moon, too - romance may come to fullness at that time.

If you were born March 31 plus or minus five days, that full moon, January 30-31, was to be in a perfect position to help you.

As you begin February it is also likely that you'll wrap up a creative or entertainment project or job if you haven't already done so by January's end. More juicy assignments will come to you - it appears you've proven your worth, so there's no reason to feel anxious about not having one on your docket yet. It will show up soon.

Actually, if you work in a creative field, you may be working collaboratively on another project, this time one that is more long-range in nature. It may be a book, screenplay, TV show idea, or other creative project that involves entertainment production. This is a superb time to focus on this endeavor too, although lately you may have wondered if it really was such a good moment to be working with someone on it. You and your creative partner may not have been in agreement about the direction of this project, and that may have caused you to become agitated.

If you feel the project has gone off the rails, don't be anxious. Things will improve next month when Mars regulates its orb on March 10. At that time you can set it back on course. Keep up your efforts to work things out with your partner. The dynamic tension you have created with your partner by disagreeing with each other may actually improve the quality of your work. Your debates show you are both engaged in the process and are equally contributing ideas.

Your mind will be filled with 100,000 points of light when Mercury signals Uranus on Saturday, February 6. That will be a perfect day to brainstorm for ideas, work on a creative project, or take a class that can spark you in a new direction. Mercury will be in perfect angle to Uranus, a truly sparkling and mind-expanding vibration.

Travel is also possible over this weekend of February 6-7 as Mercury rules transportation as well as communication, thinking, and ideas. (Mercury is now speeding direct, not retrograde like he was during the first half of January.) If you find you spontaneously want to go away, do!

At work, Saturn will be in hard angle to Pluto as the month begins, so you may find that someone you report to or who is a client is being very forceful and difficult. This person is not about to give an inch, as evidenced by Saturn's glare at Pluto in the first days of February, so you'll have to negotiate as best you can.

I am not sure you can get your way, but if you feel things are outrageously unfair, you need to speak up. Saturn rules your house of career and the authorities you report to, so it seems a new or existing VIP is more likely the one being difficult - although it is also possible that a romantic partner will be the intransigent person. You may have noticed pressure from this person in January, or you may find you will notice this attitude more in February. Saturn and Pluto are slow moving, so you can feel this all month.

Aries is not a sign that takes kindly to this kind of forceful treatment, and you might decide to quietly generate other options so you can just leave. See how you feel. You are still under the influence of the important career eclipses of January 15, which was to help you scale new heights, even if you still don't believe that is possible just yet - you will in time! Look and you'll uncover a better, more prestigious position soon. You don't want to stay if you are unhappy.

With Mars, the planet that rules Aries, in your fifth house, you will look for a position that will also allow you to make a substantial creative contribution on the new job. Following orders has never been your style, but with Mars about to spend an unusually long time in one of the most creative houses of the zodiac, you will be very clear about the type of participation you will need to be assured in your new job. Keep looking - the aspects will be so glorious in February that it would be hard for you to miss. Don't let any self-important person trouble you. Your career star is absolutely on the rise.

If you are interviewing for a job, and you are coming close to the time the decision will be made about salary, have your key discussion on February 15 or 16. Venus rules (aide from love and relationships) your second house of income, and with Jupiter due to be in a close, once-a-year alignment with Venus, this would be the time to set your salary. You may be amazed to learn how very generous the salary offer will be. Keep mum about these talks - these two planets are meeting in the most secretive part of your chart.

Now let's look at your social life, which should be glittering brightly this month. The new moon, Saturday, February 13, will be filled with inspiration. The Sun and moon will conjoin Neptune almost exactly, and that's nearly a guarantee you'll be feeling swept up in a swirl of happy feelings. This new moon falls on the day prior to Valentine's Day, which is Sunday, and it's a lovely new moon at that.

Aquarius rules your house of friends, so it looks like you'll spend at least part of the day with a whole group of people - possibly a party or other gathering. If you don't have someone to love, you may want to consider celebrating this day with your friends. There are literally millions of people who don't have a date either and will be feeling just like you. As a matter of fact, anyone not coupled up might make a more concerted effort to meet someone. This means you may get a much more enthusiastic response to any overtures you make and even tiny moves might work really well!

If you were born within five days of April 15, you will especially enjoy the feelings of love and friendship generated by this new moon of February 13. You MUST circulate!

What makes this Valentine's Day filled with sugar and spice is that as mentioned before, Venus, which governs Aries' seventh house of marriage / relationship too, will be exactly aligned with Jupiter, a rare aspect that comes once annually and always on different days. This year it will happen on February 16. The fact that it is falling in time for Valentine's Day is remarkable.

A four-star aspect like the one coming February 16 (late in the day in the US, and in the wee hours of February 17 in foreign countries) would always be felt two or three days before it peaks. An aspect is much stronger while it is building toward a peak, for it becomes less strong after it gets to perfect alignment and begins to "separate" from the other planet.

This is all good news - by Valentine's Day this aspect will be getting increasingly stronger for you, helping passion build perfectly. Lots of Aries will become engaged or even married for Valentine's Day, and it's a perfect time to do so. Keep in mind, too, that you have your ruler, Mars, positioned in your fifth house, and in this part of the chart, Mars' job is to set off the sparks of new love.

Mars is still retrograde, a position he took up last December 20, but he will be turning on the power once you get to March 10 next month. You will see your love life become more vibrant once you get to March 10, but you CAN meet someone now and make progress on an existing relationship in February. Mars may be a little lethargic, but he's not completely comatose! He IS in the right place for you!

If attached and dating, you may find that you have been looking back at one or two questions that still need to be addressed between you. A retrograde planet is a planet looking back.

It's also possible that this month, if you are single, you may contact someone you used to care about but broke up with a short or long time ago. If you want to try again, be my guest - February is one of those rare, dazzling months when anything is possible! Once you get to March 10, you'll know where you stand with that relationship.

By month's end, after February 19, quite a number of planets will fill your twelfth house, so you may have one or more confidential meetings on the agenda. I am not sure if you have a new love that you want to keep all to yourself, or if you are interviewing for a top job that you don't want others to know about. It may be something like that, or it may be that you simply want to scale back your social life a little and spend a little time alone, content not to be out and about as much as you had been earlier in February. Rest, dear Aries - you will have a number of exciting choices to make soon.

This area of the chart, the twelfth house, is about endings. You seem to be psychologically getting ready to clear out the old and begin preparing for an important new chapter. That will begin this coming June through early September 2010, and again during the first five months of 2011, as Jupiter will be in Aries then. This will be a fabulous time for love, health, career, money, and international travel. You don't get many phases like what is coming - you will need to get ready for it!

Astrologers know that it is often necessary to empty your life of the old and outworn elements before you can welcome the new. If your basket is too full, the universe will assume you are happy with what you have and don't want anything new.

Much of this year will be about seeing the end of long-term situations that have outlived their usefulness and are no longer providing pleasure or profit to you. Think back to 1998 and early 1999 when you went through a similar period. New doors will open - have faith.

It will be important that you keep strategizing about the direction you want to take next, for your chart suggests that once you announce your decisions, you will be following along that new path for a decade or more, and that new relationship or venture will continue to provide happiness and profit for that long, or even longer.

Let's go back to February, for one of the very best aspects of the year will occur on February 27. Yes! I have saved the best for last!

On February 27, Jupiter will conjoin the Sun and will create the luckiest day of the year. This aspect is worth FIVE STARS, dear Aries! We didn't have a luckiest day of the year in 2009, and I can see you sitting there at the computer screen, saying, "Duh, Susan, did 2009 feel lucky to you?" Indeed, few people had much luck last year, but actually yours was not THAT bad! The Virgos, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius had it much harder! Well, I agree, 2009 was not many people's favorite year.

Anyway, now you need to get ready for this sparkling day that will fall on February 27, a Saturday. Best of all, you will likely feel the effects romantically. Technically, this will peak on Sunday, February 28, at 3:44 AM in the East Coast of the USA, and early on Sunday in London, GMT, but you will feel things begin to heat up beautifully on February 27.

The Sun rules your fifth house of new love, and Jupiter rules your house of distant travel, so the two could be linked if you like, a possibly you might want to consider. The Sun and Jupiter will be in Pisces, so if you go away, you may want to choose a very private location by the sea or a body of water. You don't have to go away, though - you can stay home and enjoy a truly memorable weekend. If you are attached, a baby may become part of the news that makes you so happy.

The Sun and Jupiter will meet in the most secretive and private place in the chart - the house ruling secrets, privacy, and blind dates. If you are single, this would be the perfect weekend to follow up on a friend's introduction, for sure. Arrange to meet in a pretty, quiet romantic restaurant.

One small note of caution: Among the other things we have talked about, the twelfth house is also associated with "self-undoing" and clandestine relationships with unavailable partners. You can sidestep problems by asking many questions before you meet. Start with the right intent and an ethical heart - the other person will get the message.

Like all major aspects, you will feel the effects in the days leading up to this date, on February 26, too (possibly as early as February 25). The closer you get to February 27-28, the better! This is truly an extraordinary day, just perfect for any kind of romantic date or tender, poetic experience.

This same point in the month will bring a full moon on February 28 in Virgo, lighting your sixth house of health and work. You may be ready to ship a big project, one that again seems to bring in highly creative elements. With Virgo highlighted, you'll need to be very detailed, so check everything twice before you put your name on it.

Keep your health very strong, as you might feel like your resistance is a bit down. If you do need medical help, with Jupiter in your twelfth house, you would get superb care and be pleased with the diagnosis and treatment you get. If it turns out that a family member or friend needs medical care instead, be the one to choose the doctor and go with this person - you will be of enormous help.

Summary

This month may be short, but it's packed with several delicious opportunities. First, friends will support you all month. They obviously love you and you'll enjoy being included in all their activities. They will give you good advice, and even supply tips that you may need, on any subject, from love to health to career and money. The weekend of February 6-7 would be great to be out with a number of friends. Give a party, a fundraiser, or just about anything else you can do together.

When it comes to love, for the time being - all very temporarily - you may be spending time looking back to an earlier question that came up between you but that was never resolved. It's a good month to focus on any sticking points that have come up in a relationship because Mars is retrograde in your love sector. If you or your partner needs a little space because a relationship has moved forward too quickly, you will be able to dial things back a little now, too. By March 10 this emphasis on the past ends, and when it comes to love, you'll be speeding forward.

If you have met someone but feel the relationship has been stalled by work or travel obligations (yours or your new partner), be patient - next month things will be better.

Valentine's Day will combine friendship and love, and Venus flirting with Jupiter. If you have a committed partner, you should have fun. If you're in love and engaged or married, this night may hit the spot. A candlelit cocktail party or buffet at your house for Valentine's Day could create a night to remember.

Single and not dating? The new moon that will fall that weekend, February 13-14, will be in the friendly sign of Aquarius, so if you don't have a date, rally your friends together and have a big dinner for all single friends of both sexes.

In your career, you may have seen some dramatic shifts take place in January. Eclipses kick up a lot of dust, so you may not yet be able to clearly see your road ahead. Don't worry - you are heading for the top!

If you are interviewing for a new job and are ready to discuss salary, you'd be wise to schedule that talk for February 16. That's when Venus, the planet that rules your second house of earned income, will conjoin with benefic Jupiter. This is a very rare and special day - the money offered should be surprisingly generous.

You will get special favor from a high level, influential VIP on February 23, a perfect day for a major job interview, presentation, or discussion about investment capital, thanks to the Sun and Pluto in perfect angle.

Romantically, your best day of the month will occur on Saturday February 27, when love will dazzle you, thanks to Jupiter conjunct the Sun. Fortunately, this is a Saturday, but Sunday will be special, too. You will feel the glow of this day as early as February 25 and 26. This will be a special day for any social or romantic purpose or for confidential meetings with VIPs.

Expect your office to be very busy at month's end when everyone will be scurrying around to wrap up a big assignment. February 28 brings a full moon to your assignment sector.

You'll be doubly lucky at the full moon if you work in a creative field or with creative people, because the full moon will partner nicely with Jupiter in Pisces. You would be working on a high profile assignment that has the attention of several VIPs. Do your best because the work you do on this project will count heavily toward your overall reputation and future in the company and the industry. This project could become a jewel in your crown.

Keep health up to par near the full moon, February 28 - you'll be working hard! Still, it's a terrific time to seek the advice of a trainer, physical therapist, or doctor - anyone in the health and fitness field. Jupiter is known for its healing benefits, so be confident you will be feeling great soon. Take a step to make your body better and stronger.

As the month begins, you may be thinking of a major event that you enjoyed over the full moon January 30, plus or minus four days.

Your mind will brilliantly ignite over February 6, thanks to Mercury in fine angle to Uranus. Find a way to be stimulated by a lecture or a book, or just set aside time to brainstorm.

A date that a friend sets up for you could turn out to be magical and quite enchanting on February 6 or 7.

For those single and not dating, schedule a blind date: February 14-16 and especially on February 27.

The romantic date you have on February 27 or 28 could have five gold stars, thanks to the rare meeting of Jupiter to the Sun, the luckiest day of the year!

If attached, it is a good time to address any question in your romantic relationship that was never resolved but could be.

If single and not dating, or even if you are attached to someone, Valentine's Day this year will be beautifully suited for group celebrations, so get your friends together.

At work, you may feel that someone in authority is being quite pushy or unfair. If you can't negotiate your way to better terms, this episode may be the final straw, and you may leave. This will be due to Saturn's hard angle to Pluto in the first week, a slow moving aspect you could have noticed in January.

Last month a major solar eclipse occurred on January 15. Some eclipses are felt one day to the month later, after the eclipse happens. In case that should be true for you, watch February 15 plus or minus five days for a sudden development in your career.

Get a raise or negotiate a salary deal when Venus conjoins fortunate Jupiter: February 16.

A wonderful time to start a fitness routine would be at the full moon, February 28.

A confidential meeting with a VIP will go exceptionally well February 25 to 27. It's a five-star time of the year.

Travel over the weekend of February 27-28 should be magical and enchanting, or if done for business, incredibly profitable.

Seek health or fitness advice on February 26 through March 1.

For readers in and near Los Angeles, I will be a keynote speaker at a two-day workshop at the Conscious Living Expo on Sunday, February 14, 2010, Valentine's Day, and the evening of President's Day (the following day, Monday, February 15, 2010) from 7 to 10 PM at the LAX Hilton (airport) Hotel.

The first day, to take place on Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14, from 2 to 4:30 PM, will start with a fun reception for 45 minutes so that I can say hello to you. (There is an extra charge for the reception.) My talk will come directly after that and be a little under two hours with time for questions.

Monday, February 15, from 7 to 10 PM, I will give a three-hour workshop with more detail on your romantic outlook and societal shifts in love and marriage. I hope to make both workshops fun and enlightening.

The cost for the first day, a 1 hour and 45 minute class on Sunday, February 14: $45 in advance and $55 at the door. The cost for the reception before the workshop is $40.

Day passes are required for most Expo events, and prices vary depending on how many days and which days you'd like to attend. A day pass for Sunday is only $20 if you buy it in advance online, or $25 at the door.

Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile customers: When you text AZP to 46966, you will receive a text message back with step-by-step instructions on how to download the application.

Example: Verizon customers are told to go to "Get it Now," then "Tools on the Go," then "Mind, Body & Soul," and then select Astrology Zone(r) Premier(tm). So, Verizon customers will have to actually exit the Text Message and go back into the menu on their phone. This is something that you, as a Verizon customer, have to do to get any application, so it's not a new process, and it's worth the effort!

AT&T and Sprint customers: When you text AZP to 46966, you will receive a text message back that includes a link to the application. It is a more direct process than the one outlined above.

Not all phones are equipped to take the new technology, so check first with your provider and explain which phone you own. If you purchased a cell phone in the past year, chances are your phone is ready.
