July will be a more productive month for you than June, so with such bright days due, choose not to take a vacation just yet. So much exciting career and home-related news is about to burst open that you'll need to be there to take full advantage.

Career talks and other issues were scrambled and confused in June, but in July seem to have become more defined and clarified. Mercury is no longer retrograde, so you will have from now through September 26 before you will have to deal with Mercury retrograde again. (The first three weeks of October will be a bit of a mess, but you can make impressive progress in July, August, and during the first half of September.)

From the moment July opens, it's evident that your career and daily workload will be your first priority. Mars, your ruler, will begin to move through your assignment sector from July 1 until August 19. If you are employed, you clearly will have a lot of detailed projects to work on, and you will be in a highly productive mode.

If you are self-employed, business should be strong this month, with customers clamoring for your goods or services. If you are not employed but want to be, set up appointments immediately, the moment July begins, because you will uncover so many superb options! For sure, this will be no sleepy period for you!

Your big moment to hear word back on a pending position - one that would represent a big jump in prestige - will come at the full moon July 18. This will be one of the most important moments of the year for you to jump ahead of the competition. Indeed, sparkling good news should flow to you at this glorious full moon. You may hear back as early as July 16 or as late as July 22.

If you've been interviewing for a job, this full moon, July 18, is the moment the final answer will reach you. I think you'll be VERY happy with the news. Keep in mind that I can't see everything in your personal chart. I do see that transiting Mars, now in Virgo, will be at a highly positive angle to Mercury (news) from your house of work projects at the time of the full moon, so that's significant. The new job you would take in July would come with power and responsibility, something that always pleases an Aries.

If you are not looking for a job now because you are enjoying your present position, you may still get special praise or recognition this month near the full moon, July 18. In that sense, the offer would come to you whether you had looked for it or not. Don't rely on that happening, of course. It's always best to take assertive action rather than remain passive, especially when a full moon this glorious comes by. All full moons have an area of influence larger than one day, so watch all the days that extend from July 16 to 22 for news.

There will be another sterling career day, July 26, when Mars will send a golden beam to financially beneficial Jupiter. This will be a Saturday, so you may get an offer, introduction, or tip on this day or on the day prior, July 25. Mars is your ruling planet - the one that takes special care of you - so this day should be truly outstanding.

The only blinking light on the job front is that there's a strong likelihood that with any new job, you would not get enough backup staff to help you get the job done. You've been dealing with this kind of situation all along, and you can expect more of the same in your new job.

Naturally, this has to be frustrating news. If you are interviewing for a new job, ask first about how much permanent or temporary help you'd have at your disposal. Be very careful to find out if other departments work in concert or against one another - the problems could stem from political in fighting. This type of situation won't change for a long time, as Saturn, the planet causing this concern, won't be moving to another house until October 2009. Be smart and be upfront about what you need.

One other note: Watch over your belongings while you're in your office. You may find that someone, whether a co-worker or visitor, may be a bit too curious about what's inside your briefcase, purse, or tote. Keep your things under lock and key for safety sake - Neptune's angle to Mars makes me a little concerned for you. This aspect actually peaked in June, but is still within mathematical significance, so be a bit more careful.

If you choose to wait a few months before you look for a new job, your next big opportunity will come at the new moon, December 27, 2008. This will be another sterling moment in time - actually, I feel you may then see your very best career opportunities arise, the best in twelve years. That window will open and close rather rapidly, so you'll have to have all your ducks in a row by then. To take full advantage, don't plan on being away on vacation during the time between Christmas and New Year's, as you will need to be at home base when things begin to pop.

The December 27 new moon has its advantages. Currently, in July, Jupiter will be retrograde through September 8. Jupiter rules profit, and it's always better to have Jupiter in a strong position than a weak one when taking a new job. However, right now, although Jupiter is retrograde, Saturn is strong. Saturn RULES your house of fame and honors, so that's important, too. I would not like to see Saturn retrograde, especially since Saturn RULES your house of career.

December is an interesting month because for another reason. For the first time in a very long time (years, actually) all the planets will be moving direct. None will go retrograde until Saturn turns retrograde on New Year's Eve that month (December 31), only a few days after the new moon December 27. Mercury will follow Saturn into retrograde on January 11, 2009. As you see, it's six of one and a half a dozen of the other.

Near the December 27 new moon, you will have Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter, the Sun, and new moon all helping you rule the world, with a once-in-a-lifetime buildup of planetary energy in your fame and honors (tenth house) sector.

Even if you change jobs now, it appears that you will see exciting professional developments at the end of December, too. In that sense, you may get your cake and eat it, too! In fact, I feel that's a real likelihood! I don't know if you'd change jobs again, get special publicity at the new job, or get another promotion then. Anything is possible!

For now, a lot depends on your present situation and how badly you want to make a switch to a better job. Also, a great deal depends on how much you like the offers you get now. Certainly, you presently have excellent career aspects, so no matter what you decide, I feel you have considerable advantages and can now succeed beyond your expectations.

You should read your forecast for your rising sign too, especially this month when you seem poised to make a number of important decisions. The rising sign often has even more bearing on career than the Sun sign does, and by reading for your rising sign, you may get a wider timeline.

For example, if you are an Aries with Scorpio rising, the total eclipse of the Sun due on August 1 will change EVERYTHING in regard to your career - that may be your new job's start date (or close to it), or when the right offer comes in. As you see, this month it really would be wise to read for both signs.

Your living situation also may require thinking in July, and if so, this month positively glitters with the array of options that the glorious new moon, July 2, will offer you. This new moon will help you uncover all sorts of beautiful choices, whether in terms of spaces or designs or in finding a roommate with whom you'd share your space.

If you are moving house at the start of the month, you will love your new place, for Venus will be gracing your fourth house at the time (a significant indicator) and will remain there until June 12. Once you get into your new apartment or house, you'll be as happy as a little bug in a rug - so happy you won't want to leave to go outside! Jupiter will partner with the new moon, Sun, and Venus, so you could not wish for better aspects. This is the month you need to make your decisions about buying, selling, renting, renovating, redecorating, or even reorganizing your space.

This new moon will appear very late in the evening (10:18 PM in New York and London but early in the day, 11:48 AM, on July 3 in Sidney, Australia). As you see, the new moon is actually occurring on one of two days, depending on where you live, July 2 or 3. All new moons open a door of two weeks of opportunity in which to act.

After that two-week window closes, whatever you've done during that two-week period will affect you for at least a year to come, if not longer. Your very strongest energy will appear at the beginning, from July 2-6.

One day that may bring all sorts of happy home-related surprises will be July 6, when Venus will be in brilliant angle to Uranus, planet of surprise. Shop for new furniture and accessories, make design decisions, or hire a contractor on this day that rates four stars.

If you are not moving, refurbishing, painting, or redecorating, then you can plan to entertain on this glorious day, July 6 (or the day prior, July 5, a Saturday). You'd have a fashionable, stylish group of guests attend, and they'll contribute lots of fascinating, current conversation. Cupid will be buzzing around that weekend too, so you may even play matchmaker for a friend at your party, or if you're single, a guest might do so for you by bringing along someone intriguing!

July 14 will bring you another outstanding day for settling real estate or domestic and family issues, for the Sun will be beautifully aligned to Uranus, planet of surprise, at that time. I am very enthusiastic about July 14 because all sorts of lucky breaks should come your way.

Also, Mercury will be quite active in a positive way this month. That suggests that you will be decisive and ready to move forward. On the same day that I just mentioned - July 14 - when the Sun and Uranus will be so beautifully oriented, Mercury and Saturn will be friendly too, giving you a rare chance to set up a stable, long-range living situation.

The following day, July 15, Mercury will contact Mars - great for putting thoughts into action. As you see, mid-month will be a vital time for you to state decisions about where and how you'll live, and with whom.

Your home and family-related vibes will keep on rolling. On July 22, a fantastic aspect will occur - Mercury in ideal angle to Uranus - suggesting a home-related breakthrough is on the way. If you need to brainstorm for ideas for any topic home related, you have a wow of a day to do so. Everything that happens this day is completely unexpected. Keep your cell phone on and powered up!

If you are responsible for the care of an elderly relative, this month will help you find original solutions that leave you feeling comforted and enthusiastic about the future. Look into your options between July 2 and 27 for best results. Even if you've been pulling your hair out about this problem up until now, you will find the right answers.

Romantically, this month may be quiet, but your social life won't remain that way for long. The total eclipse of the Sun, due August 1, could change everything, for it will light your fifth house of love, romance, children, and pregnancy. It's a powerful eclipse, so I will post Astrology Zone a little earlier next month to help you prepare for it.

All eclipses change our timetables by moving up events dramatically. Something you thought you'd do two years from now suddenly happen today!

In the meantime, before you get to the August 1 eclipse, you will have two developments in matters of the heart that you'll see as positive.

On July 12, Venus will move into Leo, the best place for Venus to be, for it will glitter in your fifth house of true love. This placement of Venus will instantly bring a lively effect to your love life and usher in a phase of seeing many more friends. You've not had Venus in this house for a full year, so you should see the difference. Venus will remain in this house until September 20, more than enough time to meet new people and experience a lot of fun nights out.

By July 22, the mighty Sun will move into Leo to light up this same romantic sector, putting you in the right frame of mind to give and receive love. As you see, by the time you get to the last third of the month, you will reach an easier, more playful stage, confident you've made all the right decisions. Your heart will be open to love, and that's why you stand such a good chance of finding it.

Romance is best: July 4-5, 14-15, 19, 23-24, 27, and 31.

Summary

Others may want to go sailing or lounge in summer hammocks, but not you. You'll be more excited about staying home and fixing up your space. If you begin your improvement project at the new moon July 2, you will be able to perfect every detail and see impressive results in short order. Venus will be moving through your sector of home, ensuring that the changes you make will be ones you'll long love. This new moon on July 2 will deliver you luck in the days that follow it, even if you have to move.

The weekend of July 12-13 could bring exceptional options, so be sure to browse the shops at that time. If selling property or furniture, take bids or stage a tag sale - you'd be able to net a nifty profit. If you find an interested buyer who needs to think about the sale a bit, suggest a follow-up meeting for July 22, another grand day for success on home-related negotiations.

In your career, the full moon on July 18 will be simply sensational for hearing about a promotion or new job offer. If you've been awaiting word back about a job you've been interviewing for, the final decision should come within four days of this date. The job on the table would be a prestigious one that would offer you a high profile. It also looks like you'd be the boss!

Romantically, the sweetness in the air over the weekend of July 12-13 will be completely bewitching and all encompassing. Venus will enter fellow fire sign Leo for an extended stay at that time, and the Sun and Uranus will bubble up lots of spontaneous fun. It looks like you'll move into someone's direct line of vision, and this person will be completely mesmerized by you. If attached, you'll enter into an idyllic phase, and you'll see that all you needed was a little fun time together to get your relationship back on track.

If you give a backyard barbeque or get-together of friends at home, you'll increase romance five-fold. Fill your outdoor setting with dozens of white candles or small, pretty Japanese lanterns and spin your own fantasy evening. Do so on July 5, 6, 19, or 22 - any one of these sparkling evenings would be a hit.

Why am I mentioning The Virgins debut album? There's a very interesting story!

In June 2006, while my head of reader mail was on a two-week vacation, I had no one to read the daily incoming mail. We read every letter, and being that the Internet is like a continuous waterfall, it's important to keep up with daily correspondence. I was having difficulty finding temporary help with good communication skills. I needed someone who could write well, and also be someone who would really care about the readers' questions.

In desperation, I called Chrissie, my older daughter, for advice. She excitedly reported, "My friend Donald writes really well and could probably help you out for two weeks." "Who is Donald?" I asked, and Chrissie explained Donald Cummings was a good friend and a musician who could always use a bit of extra cash. Chrissie convinced me that he had the compassion and the fine skills I sought, so I said, Ok. I would be happy to give Donald a try.

Donald came by and I found him shy and very kind. I was pleased with his excellent communication skills as well as his tender attitude toward readers.

When the two weeks were over, I was sorry to see Donald go. "What is your passion, Donald?" "Music," he answered. "OK," I responded-"let's look at your horoscope. Would you like that?" His answer was an enthusiastic yes. Fortunately he knew his exact time of birth. He was born November 17, 1981 at 6:06 AM EST in New York City.

A double Scorpio (Scorpio with Scorpio rising), Donald's chart showed enormous talent. I was amazed to see that he had natal Jupiter conjunct Pluto, a rare and truly fantastic signature of success. I told Donald, "You must keep writing and composing your music. You have a FANTASTIC chance of hitting it big, and your first breakthrough will occur in nine months."

Usually when I hear that someone hopes to make it in the music industry, I advise taking side jobs to earn money while the talent awaits their big break. I didn't do that in Donald's case. I felt his Scorpio intensity would keep him on the right track and that he would hit the jackpot very soon. After all, Mick Jagger has that Jupiter / Pluto connection at birth like Donald, as does Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, George Washington, Abe Lincoln. This is a special aspect that only happens every 13 years, and when it does, it has to be within a few degrees to be useful. Donald has that, and much more.

Sure enough, Donald Cummings and his band mates, Nick, Wade and Eric as The Virgins, signed a contract with Atlantic records nine months later. After signing, it took a while for their debut album to come out, of course, but it just did-early last month, on the new moon June 3.. As mentioned earlier, Rolling Stone loved it, giving it four stars!

As I write this report, the band has already completed one tour of the USA (more are planned) and are in Paris, on their way to London, and they are due to do some really exciting TV here in the United States. Truly, they are on their way to bigness, although their manager, Nick Stern, says, "Of course, they have much hard work ahead of them." The TV show Gossip Girl has used five songs already in a recent episode, and more Virgins tunes will be in the fall episodes of Gossip Girl being shot now. One huge company known for music in their ads has The Virgins on their short list they are considering for their TV ads.

The Virgin's debut album, "The Virgins," hit the top 50 on iTunes in its first two weeks.

Their best sellers are "Rich Girls," "A Private Affair," "Love is Colder than Death," and "Hey, Hey, Girl." I also love "Radio Christiane"-a song written for Chrissie, my daughter. Chrissie helped the group by finding their first-class manager.

Some of the songs on this album are explicit, but there are TWO versions of this album in the CD (listed on the Barnes & Noble website), and one version is clean. You can make the choice. Astrology Zone® is a "G" rated, family site, so I don't want to lead you astray. This album is for grown-ups, not children and iTunes will label the album as explicit too, as most songs are these days.

The night before he was to go on tour he called me-we had not spoken for a couple of years, as he had been busy writing-and he was very excited but also a bit nervous. "What do you think?" he asked. I laughed-"What do I think? I think this is the start of fulfilling all the talent that your chart has promised, dear Donald!"

Little Mom Celebrates her 89th Birthday

Little Mom, my mother, who I love with all my heart, and who taught me all the astrology I know, celebrated her 89th birthday last month on June 15. We had a small dinner party at my apartment in her honor, and she had so much fun. If you recall, last year she was deathly ill and spent four months in the intensive care unit of the hospital. No one was sure if she would recover. She did-look at how wonderful she looks!

This is a big thank you to you, dear readers, for sending prayers and get well cards to my mother last year, and for your continuing notes to see how she is doing. Your good wishes and prayers worked miracles. She not only recovered but is doing just GREAT! Thank you!
