Aries Horoscope for February 2012

You've certainly been working hard, for since last November, Mars has been spending a great deal of time in your workaday sector. Last month, however, Mars started to go retrograde, something Mars rarely does (it's been two years since the last time), so late last month you may have faced a setback. By now you would know what it is, but it is likely you had little control over what happened, so be philosophical. Fortunately Mars won't be retrograde forever, only until April 13. Two months sound far away, but actually you can accomplish a lot in the meantime.

Admittedly, it will be hard to make progress in entirely new areas while the competitive, energetic planet Mars is retrograde, but you can backtrack on current projects and find ways to make them better. You can also forge a victory from a past association or garner more business from former clients. Mars is your guardian planet - your "ruler" - so his movements have greater weight and effect on you than other planets.

Mars is currently in Virgo, so you will be asked to pay a great deal of attention to detail. Depending on other planets your natal chart, you might be good at working on tiny details or not - you would know if you are stimulated by tasks like this or avoid them at all cost. If you are not talented at detail, and you are self-employed, you always have the option of hiring people to help you. If you work for others and feel you need help, you might be able to enlist help from co-workers, perhaps by bartering tasks that you might be good at and your co-worker is not, assuming your boss will allow this kind of trade among workers.

Along with Mars going in reverse, Saturn will too, beginning on February 7. Saturn rules your tenth house of fame and achievement, so you may have to bide your time for your quest for a new job until Saturn regulates its speed, June 25. Remarkably, only one week later, you will have a powerful full moon, July 3, that will activate your house of honors and awards. This tells me that you might stage talks for a new position, but not see a development until early July. This timing seems perfect, for by then Mars will be in top form, and Venus will be too, an important element in the puzzle, because Venus rules your money. In all ways, you want to be ready to accept a new position in early July, but not before that. In the meantime, you will be able to take a number of short-term projects that should pay well enough to keep you going while you wait for the big one to come in. Still, there are exceptions - you have several stellar days for career talks in February.

First, note the days when Sun and Saturn will be moving toward being in perfect sync, February 16 and 17. Saturn, as said, is the planet controlling your professional achievement sector. Mercury, by then in Pisces, will also be speaking to Jupiter. A confidential meeting, perhaps with someone high level from your past, could help you aim for a new and exciting position. (Saturn and Mars retrograde points to benefits from VIPs you know from earlier days.) You can also sign papers on this day - it's superb.

Next, circle February 24, a Friday, when the moon will be in Aries, and the Sun will be in perfect angle to Jupiter, the great good fortune planet, now in your house of earned income. The Sun will be in your friendship house, so the high-level friend who will be so helpful at this time is likely to be someone you consider a friend or close colleague. This will be a very strong day. If you have a creative idea to present, you will do well - and likely walk away with funding, if not immediately, then soon. You will have one more jewel to use for career talks.

Your third time of the month to circle in red on your calendar will be February 28, when the Sun and Pluto will trade signals. Again, the topic is likely to be money, and again a friend is likely to turn the key on an opportunity.

Aries who were born late in the sign are feeling the pressures of Saturn opposed to the Sun for most this month. This is nothing new - you've been grappling with Saturn for a while now, so it's more of the same. You need not worry that things will get harder - you are currently boxing with Darth Vader.

If your birthday falls on April 19, you are feeling the most direct rays from Saturn during February. Because you were born at the end of the sign, normally you would be ready to bid Saturn adieu, but because Saturn is now retrograde he will travel first back, and then, later, forth, over your Sun until Saturn is gone by October 4. (By June, Saturn will retrograde as far back as to touch those Aries born on April 11 and later. If your birthday falls in March or April 1-10, you are done with Saturn.)

The new moon of February 21 will help you pull back a little and think about what you need to be happy and to reflect a little on your next move. Neptune will make his monumental move into Pisces for the first time in this century. Neptune has not been in Pisces since 1847 to 1862, so this is a new and very inspirational influence. It's just what you need to light your mind with waves of fresh inspiration - exciting! You will be ready to focus on a creative project dear to you, for you have all the talent you need to make a success of what you hope to create!

You need a little diversion from all the tasks you've been doing - a little love and fun - and the full moon in Leo, 3 degrees, will give you that, for sure, on February 7, plus or minus four days. This will be a highly romantic moment, the only full moon in your love sector of the year, and with Venus in Aries, you'll be a good position to kick back and let Venus make your charms much more visible.

All Aries will do well at the full moon of February 7, but those born on or near April 7, plus or minus five days, or who have planets in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius at or near 18 degrees, will do best. It's absolutely a point to take a little time off, and that moment should please you!

One very special day will be February 9, when Venus in Aries will conjoin Uranus in Aries. What a dazzler of a day! This could be the one day you meet someone quite exciting! It's a wow of a day, and if you were born early in your sign, within days of March 22, you will get a double dip of pleasure. (If you have planets in fire - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius - or air - Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius - at or near 2 degrees, you will too.) I love this day for you! In fact, you may even receive a beautiful gift.

Valentine's Day brings the moon to fire sign Sagittarius, perfect for you! Mercury will play a pivotal role this week, as Mercury will be in fine angle to Saturn - perfect for making long-term promises that stand the test of time - and Jupiter, bringing you the power and determination to make happy, optimistic plans for the future. If conversation and communication is the cornerstone to true love, Mercury will be your guardian angel this evening and bring both to a new and heightened level. Socially, and romantically, you are loved, dear Aries, and you will know this for sure from all who surround you. If you don't have a sweetheart or a spouse, go out anyway. There are many people in the same situation, and you never know, on a night so supportive, you might meet someone special. Your friends adore you - let them take good care of you.

Summary

Your office life will boom with new assignments, and this month will require some backtracking to get things "just so." Stay cheerful, for you will also have time later in February to kick up your heels. Late last month, the new moon put you in a social mood and may have brought a number of new people into your life. Expect several fun, after-hours events to come up to keep things lively. If not, this trend will continue in early February.

The best romantic news is that Venus will tour Aries from February 8 until March 5. Venus has the power to make you quite a love magnet. Take full advantage of your irresistible charm by treating yourself to a new look. Consult a stylist you trust about your hair and makeup, and choose one or two new pieces for your wardrobe. Doing so will give you a lift and an attractive sense of confidence. Then sit back - you won't have to do very much to see how popular you are about to become.

On February 9, when Venus aligns with Uranus, you'll have the best night of the month for meeting an intriguing love interest that you'll likely decide you'd like to know better.

Valentine's Day, February 14, brings the moon to Sagittarius, a perfect placement for you. With Mercury nearing a lovely signal to Jupiter, your rapport with your partner (or with someone new) will be unusually bubbly. By all means, plan to go out on this evening, whether you have someone to love or not. Chances are, nothing will happen if you stay home, but something special might happen if you go out and about.

In your career, you may have to have patience as things slow down a bit from now from through June. Saturn will go retrograde from February 7 to June 25, causing you to experience a number of temporary career delays and obstacles. You may need to redo a project, or you may change your mind about your career course and go through a period of reassessment. You will have the time to get things right. Rather than dread this phase, welcome it as a chance to go back and correct things so that you can be sure you are on course. The new moon of July 3, 2012 will come brimming with career opportunity, so you can expect a reward if you keep your motivation high now, in coming weeks.

If you need to choose a wonder-day to interview for a top job this month, you will have several. First, February 16-17: Both will be days when you will have a superb opportunity to make a great impression. There will be three more days. Choose February 24, 27, or 28 to meet with a VIP to explore possibilities in your present or different firm - with first Jupiter and later, Pluto, both working with the Sun, so you are likely to present a strong case, and money deals should go your way.

If you need to discuss money, then February 24, 25, or 29 are your days, for on those days, your financial outlook will be excellent. Use one of these superb days to negotiate a salary or project fee, or to sign a profitable contract. Jupiter, giver of financial benefits, in your income house, will bring you outstanding favor with clients and bosses alike. If you are in a creative field, you may want to present an idea to a client or department head on one of these days too - approvals should arrive easily. The moon will be in Aries on these days too, adding extra favor. There are two solid runner-up dates for happy financial results too - circle February 15 or 16, an especially fine time to shake hands or sign a contract.

The new moon of February 21 will herald a period of quiet reflection. If you want to take a vacation, make it a restful one, not one that would require frantic sightseeing. What you will need most by the time you arrive at February's end will be open, unscheduled time to think, pursue creative ideas, and to muse about your options and possibilities for the months ahead. Neptune is heading to Pisces for the first time since 1847 to 1862, and will stay in Pisces over the coming fourteen years. This magical planet will stir your imagination and help to stimulate your imagination in ways you've never seen.

With the new moon of February 21 so close to Neptune, you may be working on a creative project at this time. The area of your chart that will glow by this time is associated with work done in solitude, behind closed doors. It would be a fantastic time to experiment and see what develops. It does not matter which you focus on - the visual arts, dance, composing or playing music, journaling, writing poetry, working in the culinary arts - any form of artistic expression would be perfect for you to be doing. You may be amazed at what you are capable of turning out.

Venus enters Aries February 8 to March 5, a great time for beauty treatments.

February 9: Venus will combine energy with surprise-a-minute Uranus, making it a sparkling time for meeting someone new, out of the blue.

The full moon in Leo on February 7 will be highly romantic for finding, and enjoying, love.

Saturn will go retrograde on February 7 to June 25, putting career progress on temporary hold. If you have an offer, agree to it as early in February as possible.

February 15 and 16 would be fine days to sign a contract, when Mercury and Jupiter trade signals. Money news should be good news!

An even better day for sensational financial developments will be February 24-25. Your creative ideas will garner applause on these days too.

The fine new moon of February 21 will bring on a need for rest and reflection. It's a superb time to indulge your creative side.

Why My Book Is Late

All year I was listening hard to all that you asked me on Twitter and Facebook. I realized how valiantly you were all coping with the challenges that a difficult world economy had wrought, and how dearly you needed to know which areas of your life would be bring you the greatest progress and happiness.

I had a manuscript almost ready, but thinking about your words, I felt I had to add much more material to it. What you asked me and what you said on my social networking pages kept echoing in my mind. So in November, I announced to my team I was lengthening the book dramatically. I was adding chapters and doubling each sign's chapter from what I had already written, which are now almost four times as long as my regular Astrology Zone forecasts. Only you can be the judge of what I have done, but I feel this book, still in progress, is the best book I have ever written. It would be easier if I didn't have to stop to write 40,000 words for Astrology Zone each month, but of course, I would always do that!

I set out to create a book that would help you every day of the year. Why, I asked myself, write a good book when I could stretch and push myself to create a great one for you. By now you know I am a perfectionist. My revamped book is the very best I have ever done. It is not finished yet, but I am working every day around the clock on it. It will be wrapped in joy and happiness and it will be of value to you. I have no idea when it will be done, but I know there is great urgency. I am working every minute on it.

There are authors of books out there that pretend to be my book and many of you have written to say you bought their book in error. You only noticed when, you said, it didn't sound like me. My book, a quality paperback book, is not sold in stores; you can only get it here on my website. To create my book and calendar, and to prepare for my talks, I memorized 312 charts (13 lunar months times 12 signs, times two lunations each month: a new moon and a full moon). I started this in April. I memorize all the aspects because sometimes something happening in one part of the sky will influence an aspect happening in another part of the sky - no aspect can be taken alone, by itself. For example, last year, on what was to be the luckiest day of the year, April 6 (Jupiter conjunct the Sun), we also had Saturn opposed to the Sun on the same day, completely washing out the happiness of the luckiest day of the year. I didn't even discuss it in my book - how could I? You see how I have to be vigilant to all parts of the sky for you - you are depending on me to do my homework thoroughly.

Many of you know my mother was extremely ill with pneumonia this summer and in intensive care and then in a nursing home for physical therapy for four weeks. My sister and I were at her side every day to help bring her back to her former strong health by showing her love and attentiveness to all her medical matters, and when she could eat, we brought homemade meals. Little Mom is well now. She is home, and doctors, who were ready to give up on her, cannot get over the remarkable recovery she has made.

I don't regret one minute the time I gave her to get her well again, even though it did take time away from my writing. She has no one but my sister and I to depend upon - together we worked as a team to get Little Mom well. This year the holidays were especially poignant, as we watched her blue eyes sparkle with delight in being with her four grandchildren, who had gathered around her at home to give her love, presents, and kisses.

Discover your rising sign, the most important element to learn!

If you don't know your rising sign, you won't get quite as much out of my monthly forecasts on Astrology Zone or my daily forecasts on cell phones (or delivered to your email box daily by Daily Astrology Zone). You could also get so much more from my Year Ahead 2012 book if you know your rising sign, as a rising sign helps to set up some of the timing in a chart.

To have your chart done, you would need to know your precise time of birth, to the minute. If you do know it, then you would be wise to have your natal chart done. Once you do, you can memorize your rising sign, for it will never change. This explains why all Aries are not alike, or all Gemini - we are all a beautiful, rich combination of the rising sign and Sun sign, as well as a tapestry of the other planets. On the day you were born, the pattern in the sky will never be repeated in time or space - you are truly unique. What a magical piece of information!

Your natal chart will never change - it stays the same for life! You need only do your natal chart once and never again. Once you do have your chart, you will get more insight into your innate gifts and personality strengths.
