This will be a major month of the year for you, dear Aries, for a new family of eclipses will be starting up, this time in Capricorn (July 7) and Cancer (July 21). The first one will have the power to create dramatic shifts in your career and the second will be strong enough to bring big news in regard to real estate, home, or family matters. Keep in mind that this new family of eclipses will arrive now and every six months from now until July 1, 2011.
A new family of eclipses is always headline news for every sign, and it's particularly so for you, dear Aries, for these eclipses will accent the houses at the very top and bottom of your chart. Your lifestyle may change dramatically now or in time, and the changes may be ones you've initiated yourself or ones that you didn't plan but that you need to conform to. Don't worry, however - both eclipses coming by this month will be friendly and will see to it that any news will eventually work to your favor. Aries more than most signs are very flexible and adventurous. See what is coming as a new and exciting twist to the movie about your life, starring you!
I know you are anxious for me to tell you more about both eclipses, and I will, in detail, but first I need to give you some basic rules to know about eclipses. For one thing, they always arrive in pairs, always two weeks apart, and they always coincide with a new moon and full moon. Eclipses have three times the power of a new moon or full moon rolled into each one, and they are felt over a much longer period. The eight eclipses in this series that will come in the next two years will fall in different, quite random, mathematical degrees. This means that not all the eclipses in this family will affect you in an equal way. In fact, depending on your birthday and other planets in your chart, you may not feel too much of an effect at all, but others could be incredibly dramatic.
Unlike normal new moons and full moons, the area of influence of an eclipse is much greater, and will sometimes not fully deliver the entire message until weeks or even months later. However, there are always clues at the time of the eclipse.
For example, I had an eclipse on the very top of my chart, affecting my career, to exact degree not long ago. Secretly, behind the scenes, one of the magazines I had enjoyed writing for over a four-year period made the decision to cut my column due to a budget cut. The decision was made at the time of the eclipse, but I didn't learn about my termination until my contract was up, eight weeks later. If you are a good detective, when you do learn of a big change, you can always trace things back to the time of the eclipse. That's when the seed of change will have been planted. I will add, laughing, that decisions made under an eclipse are often hastily done, and do not always prove to be wise!
Here is a good rule of thumb: Let an eclipse speak to you. It is good to RESPOND to news of an eclipse but not to make an important INITIATION at that time. As I always say, open the window and let news fly in. Take a few days to decide what you'd like to do about what you hear. Let others choose the date of the event, not you. If you are being pressured to respond instantly, try to get as much time as you can get - even a few extra days will make a difference in helping you make a more informed decision. Do not try to change the dictate that is presented to you because that won't work. There is a final quality in an eclipse that cannot be changed or negotiated.
Eclipses demand that we look forward, not back. You will walk over a rickety bridge. Once you are safely on the other side, you will look back to see that the bridge you came over collapsed - there will be no going back. You wouldn't want to go back! What is coming is better!
Now that you have a working knowledge of eclipses, let's look at what's due to come up this month.
Your first big day will be July 7, plus or minus one week, the full moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn. It will fall at the very top of your chart, ruling your career as well as status and reputation in your industry. A full moon brings an ending or wrap up, but let me assure you that this eclipse is a very beneficial one for you.
I say this because this full moon eclipse will send a very sweet beam to Saturn, the planet ruling your house of career, fame, and honors. While Saturn rules that area of your chart, Saturn will be touring your sixth house of work projects. This tells me that whatever goes on at the time of the eclipse will work to raise your status. It appears that work you've been doing lately has come to the attention of a high level person who will be very impressed with you and who may want to offer you more power and responsibility - in other words, a step up.
At the same time, Mars will be in hard angle to Neptune, so don't move so quickly that you fail to understand all the details of the agreement. Aim to get things in writing to avoid confusion prior to making any commitments. No matter how good an offer seems to be, if the small print requires terms that are troublesome, you will have to discuss those and decide what to do.
It is always a good idea to jot down any phone calls, interviews, or new business that comes in at the time of this eclipse. Each eclipse over the coming two years will have strings that tie it to the one that came before, so as we go along, I will ask you to look back over all of the eclipses in this Capricorn-Cancer family to find a pattern. If you start to keep a little history on each, you will be able to decide how each future eclipse is likely to affect you.
Aries who were born on or within five days of April 4 will likely feel the July 7 eclipse most. You may have other planets in your chart that are highlighted, of course - this eclipse is at 15 degrees Capricorn - but you'd need a natal chart to know for sure. The eclipses this month will be friendly. At the same time, all eclipses have a little kick in them that will add a little twist that you had not anticipated. That will keep things interesting, so don't worry about that - you are ready for what is coming. While many people would be content to go on as they have so far, it's easy to get stagnant, so this eclipse will stir things up a bit and ask you to respond.
The exact situation that the universe presents is never the point - your response is what counts. Actually, when you think back to obstacles or opportunities that were presented to you over the course of your life, you will see that your responses to events told you a lot about yourself. Your response says a lot about your priorities, dreams, goals, and sometimes even morals. As you go through this period, keep remembering this little motto: "It's about what's inside you, not about the situation on the outside." An eclipse will present the actual situation, but the outcome will always be up to you.
The second eclipse will fall on July 21 and will arrive as a new moon solar eclipse. I usually love new moon eclipses because they set up new long-term situations. Sometimes a solar eclipse can be trying, but this one seems different because it appears to burst with good news. It will light your house of home / residence / real estate and family, so this is where you will see opportunity and perhaps sudden shifts.
Uranus, planet of surprise, will be waiting in the wings to help you in surprising, even odd ways in regard to your family or real estate situation. Saturn will be well angled to the eclipse but at odds with Uranus. This suggests that you may have to suddenly tear yourself away from a present setting or condition, but what you do next could prove to be surprisingly stable. Mars, your ruler, will be supportive of the Sun (in an "out of sign" trine - forming a lovely, heavenly aspect). This means that you have a chance here to find the perfect solution.
All in all, this tells me that while you may temporarily be agitated from any news you may receive as a result of the new moon eclipse July 21, keep the faith and let the eclipse fully deliver all its news. All eclipses have a second act, so you won't have all the news all at once. This eclipse will bring you into a new situation, either very soon, or later.
In the end, things will go your way. Of course, you must be organized and focused on finding something better. If your job should change not in July but later, it may be on or near January 15, when the next solar eclipse in Capricorn will arrive in this same part of your chart.
Sometimes an eclipse will create instant news, but at other times it creates the beginning of a process that ultimately helps you more gradually transform your situation. If you were born at the end of your sign, near April 19, you will feel this eclipse most.
Against this backdrop, this month Mars will be cycling through your quick travel sector. This is a fortunate place for your ruler to be, for Mars will give you the needed rest while you are away to recharge and replenish your energy. You need not go far - the towns you will go to will be within a day's drive. Also, Mars will be in an air sign - the air element makes your fire sign of Aries burn more brightly than it could without the additional rush of air that Mars will provide.
Last month Mars had been urging you to spend quite a bit of money, but come July 12, you will find those expenses calming down, and you'll be more confident about spending small amounts for happy, relaxing experiences away from home. You may get invitations from friends or relatives to stay at their country houses. This will keep the cost of your jaunts low, and will also make it more likely that you will go. You need this time off, dear Aries - you've been speeding through life and handling all you possibly can. Take a break and put yourself first - in a new setting.
For travel, the weekend of July 18-19 looks to be lots of fun. If possible, makes it a four-day holiday, starting July 16 when Mercury will be so cheery to Uranus. You may go quite spontaneously.
The next weekend, July 25-26, would also be terrific for quick travel, when Jupiter will again send a lovely vibration to Venus. This would be a great weekend to be away with friends.
Financially, July 1 or 2 could bring a sudden jolt of income or the receipt of a bargain due to the interplay of Venus and Jupiter. A friend will likely be instrumental in providing you with your luck.
Another good financial day will be July 20, when Mercury and Mars will be well angled. This time the money you save or earn could be related to your home. You may do something big, like sell your condo, or something small, like find a great bargain for a piece of furniture or for linens you need for the home.
Finally, when it comes to money, perhaps one of your best days of July will be July 27, when Venus, the ruler of your second house of earned income, will be so nicely angled to Jupiter, planet of profit.
Romantically, this month will emphasize career and home so strongly that you won't likely have the energy to make love a priority. However, once the Sun moves into Leo on July 22, you will begin to feel the bewitching warming effects of the Sun on your social life. Things should perk up almost immediately.
If you are single and looking for love, you'll have two areas that could be a source of new love - travel and work. The first, travel, would bring the possibility of a new romantic interest if you don't go too far out of town. For example, in New York a lot of people rent summer cottages in the Hamptons or on the New Jersey shore. In your city, if there is somewhere lots of people go on weekends that is only a few hours drive, this would be the place to go to meet a new romantic interest this month.
Concerning the second one, well, we already know you spend a great deal of time on the job. Being there so much, it is not surprising that you might meet someone at work!
Your two best times of the month to meet someone new would be July 7-9 and July 18-19, but there will be others, depending on your own individual chart.
If you belong to a club or do charity work, then circle the date, Friday July 10. Thanks to the team-up of Jupiter and Neptune, a rare event, this day should prove to be outstandingly special. Attend a lecture, or lend a hand to someone, or a whole group, who desperately needs your aid. You may make a friend, or you may unexpectedly fall in love when you meet another volunteer or club member with many of the same ideas and values as you.
Married or single, you might want to consider giving a party at home over the weekend of July 18-19, when the Sun and Uranus will be so beautifully oriented to each other and bubble up plenty of rapport between the guests. The Sun will be brightening your home area, so don't give your get-together in a club - invite the crowd over to your house or apartment. The Sun is the natural ruler of your solar fifth house of true love.
The following is a roundup of your other good romantic dates, and they will hold true for you no matter what your status happens to be.

Eclipses this month spell vast changes in coming weeks in regard to your career (July 7) and living situation (July 21). You may have planned these shifts, or they may be unexpected, but either way, you can maneuver events to your benefit. Career changes will help stabilize your base and allow you to grow in a new setting. An upgrade to your home may be an outgrowth of a better salary or you may choose to relocate to allow yourself to take advantage of a job opportunity elsewhere. You've been spending a great deal of money lately, but happily, spending will calm down by mid-month. Mars' move into Gemini will coax you to travel out of town, especially over weekends to relax with friends or family. Best weekend to go: July 18-19.

Your living situation is about to bring enormous opportunity and change, too. You may be able to move, or at the very least, fix it up from bottom to top, thanks to the friendly solar eclipse July 21.
You may get a tip from a family member, friend, or sweetheart that either saves you money or suddenly makes you money: July 20. Savings or profit is likely to be real estate or home oriented.
Interview for a job or make a presentation or audition: July 7, 8, and 24-27. Your money luck will be high.
